Shunt Driver (Day Shift) - Kitchener, ON


GoRight Fleet Solutions Inc. (GoRight) has an immediate opening for a Shunt Driver to work out of our facility located in Kitchener, ON. If you are looking to contribute to the success of a great team, in a day shift position, we are looking for you.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Service Manager, our Shunt Drivers are integral members of GoRight’s Kitchener Service team. The primary responsibility of this position is to shunt trailers in and out of the shop, keep the shop yards organized, check trailers in and out, and communicate with the service and sales team to ensure that equipment is staged and available when required to maintain a continuous flow of work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Shunting trailers in/out of shop bays as directed by Foreman, Maintenance Planner or Service Manager
  • Organize staged trailers coming in to shop
  • Assist Maintenance Parts Planner with loading and unloading parts
  • Complete full yard checks to ensure accuracy of trailer inventory
  • Maintaining yard arrangement and cleanliness
  • Complete paperwork to ensure trailer locations are up to date and accurate
  • Meet with service team to maintain communication
  • Participate in problem solving initiatives – A3, Kaizen, QK etc.
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures as set out in the Health and Safety Manual

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid class AZ license with minimum 3 years’ experience and clean driver’s abstract
  • Forklift experience
  • Safe driving skills and ability to operate tractor-trailer units in tight spaces safely and without damaging the unit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of city roads
  • Basic mechanical skills to maintain equipment assigned and inspect inbound/outbound equipment

Director, Fleet Maintenance Services - Moncton, New Brunswick


GoRight is growing again and, our new Moncton facility will soon be open and ready for business!

Position Summary:

We are looking for a senior, experienced fleet maintenance manager to lead the growth of GoRight’s maintenance business in Atlantic Canada. The ideal candidate is well respected within the industry and has experience in all aspects of fleet maintenance management, including all types of repairs to trailers, trucks and, preferably bulk tankers. As well, he/she will have an excellent understanding of fleet maintenance operations, including management of tires, truck and trailer repair analysis, on road breakdowns, and analysis of maintenance costs and trends. Our successful candidate will also have experience managing truck and trailer technicians and will enjoy working closely with them on a day to day basis.

Maintenance Parts Planner (Afternoon Shift) - Kitchener, ON


GoRight is growing again and looking for a Maintenance Parts Planner – Afternoon Shift, to work out of our facility located in Kitchener, ON.

If you are collaborative and customer-focused individual committed to get the job done right, then this is the job for you!

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the shop by planning and providing parts, supplies and assisting with all other avoidable barriers that stand in the way of effective and efficient repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify and ensure availability of all parts and supplies for all jobs in the shop and provide updates on parts that need to be sourced
  • Inspection of trailers before they come in to the shop to identify requirements
  • Update repair quotes with part information and pricing
  • Identify and communicate work order warranty requirements to technicians and shop supervisor
  • Maintain relationship with parts supplier to assist in timely delivery, billing and support
  • Maintaining communication with Parts Manager for rush orders, inventory concerns etc.
  • Order and maintain inventory
  • Ensure paperwork is detailed, accurate and timely
  • Assist in shop organization and facility maintenance when required
  • Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers and customers

Qualifications

The successful candidates will require:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with trade training
  • Industry related experience is an asset
  • Trailer maintenance knowledge and experience
  • Comfortable working in a high paced environment
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Strong data entry and computer skills (MS Office, Cetaris etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

310J Trailer Service Technicians/Apprentices - Kitchener, ON


GoRight is growing again and looking for Licensed Trailer (310J) Service Technicians & Apprentices to work out of our facility located in Kitchener, ON.

If you enjoy mechanical work, fabrication, welding, electrical and body work, in a busy team atmosphere; then this is the job for you!

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Shop Foreman/Service Manager, as a Service Technician you will be an integral member GoRight’s Service team. As a Service Technician you will perform all aspects of transportation equipment repair and maintenance in a high quality and safe manner.

An ideal Service Technician will have the ability to conduct safety inspections, diagnosing and repairing; electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and trailer frames; bodies; suspensions systems: tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems and lift gate systems; follow company safety policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines; foster a supportive team network with co-workers, managers and customers and other various duties as required.

The successful candidates will require:

  • A cooperative team player attitude with a positive work ethic
  • Licensed 310J Technician, OR Apprentice level working towards 310J or willing to enroll for apprentice program
  • Requires a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent with technical training to enroll
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience (Trailer, Truck & Coach, Welding Fabricating, Electrical, Mechanical) OR completion of a related college program
  • Experience operating hand and air tools
  • Ability to lift heavy parts
  • Good written and communication skills
