310J Trailer Service Technicians/Apprentices - Kitchener, ON


GoRight is growing again and looking for Licensed Trailer (310J) Service Technicians & Apprentices to work out of our facility located in Kitchener, ON.

If you enjoy mechanical work, fabrication, welding, electrical and body work, in a busy team atmosphere; then this is the job for you!

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Shop Foreman/Service Manager, as a Service Technician you will be an integral member GoRight’s Service team. As a Service Technician you will perform all aspects of transportation equipment repair and maintenance in a high quality and safe manner.

An ideal Service Technician will have the ability to conduct safety inspections, diagnosing and repairing; electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and trailer frames; bodies; suspensions systems: tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems and lift gate systems; follow company safety policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines; foster a supportive team network with co-workers, managers and customers and other various duties as required.

The successful candidates will require:

  • A cooperative team player attitude with a positive work ethic
  • Licensed 310J Technician, OR Apprentice level working towards 310J or willing to enroll for apprentice program
  • Requires a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent with technical training to enroll
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience (Trailer, Truck & Coach, Welding Fabricating, Electrical, Mechanical) OR completion of a related college program
  • Experience operating hand and air tools
  • Ability to lift heavy parts
  • Good written and communication skills

Day Shift Lead Hand (310J) – Mississauga, ON


We are currently looking for a Shop Foreman (Day Shift) to take the lead at our Mississauga facility. You will report to the Service Manager or designate working Monday to Friday.

This is a partly hands-on role, requiring a steady yet guiding hand for a diverse and dedicated team of trailer mechanics and apprentices. The ideal foreman will have at least 5 years of professional mechanical experience with an active journeyman certificate and will also need to have trailer shunting experience. While guiding the team, the Shop Foreman must be vigilant, maintain order and inspect all jobs.

It will come down to the Shop Foreman to ensure their team is the best they can be, and the shop runs as smoothly as possible; work orders are correct and completed on time, technicians and apprentices know their craft and remain engaged. Your high energy and knowledge of trailer maintenance and repair allow you to mentor and bring out the best in your team.

Mobile Mechanic Contractor (310J or 310T) – London, ON

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • An active 310J or 310T journeyman certificate
  • Your own service truck
  • Leasing/ Financing options are available for your service truck * Open availability
  • Ability to lift heavy parts
  • Ability to work in all weather extremes both inside and outside
  • Knowledge of transportation industry and regulations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to use a handheld/tablet to create electronic work orders
  • Experience with welding, is an asset
  • Experience with Inventory Management is an asset

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Mobile Service Technician is an integral member of our Fleet Service team. As a Mobile Service Technician, you will perform all aspects of trailer equipment repair and maintenance in a high quality and safe manner. You will maintain your mobile unit, equipment, inventory and tools assigned, while conveying the professional image of GoRight and a high level of customer service at all times; whether it be providing emergency roadside assistance, providing scheduled servicing at the customers location, or working with members of GoRight team.
